Are you on a TVA lake and if so do you need a permit.

My uncle and I were surf fishing on Sanibel Island, Florida in August 1961. He saw something that had washed up on shore. It was a piece of eight broken in half.

When you hold a dime or penny, the coins look huge like silver dollars. You must have tiny hands! Great hunt! Thanks

Another great video Lucky Gin! I live in Tennessee and metal detect as much as I can. I have trouble finding places I’m allowed to metal detect. How do you know where you can go? I can’t find any reliable information online.

Interesting, very little trash, but 1980s and 90s coins. I would have expected mostly 2000s coins. Looked like a beautiful place. I don’t know why, but those coins look BIG in the video. I’m always surprised when you say it’s a dime. lol

Love the Sherlock Holmes. I have a few metal detecting subs. None of them have one. They rely on the camera focus which works but the glass allows quick ID for you. To each their own. 🔎 👍👍

Gin the goodies are in the water about chest deep. I use to detect lakes alot at the end of swimming season. In NJ we had to get permits and the first day after the swimming season ended we all hit the lakes. Many were in State Parks.

Totally unrelated, but my neighbor and I always chuck old coins or some interesting metal "treasure" into each other’s front yards. Sort of a metal detecting "Howdy!’ between friends.

If you are finding dimes you are finding it. Now when you start finding nickles you are in gold mode. Settings, JE mode, sensitivity 4, no disc……good luck.

Yes, Nice hunt Lucky!! About what you’d expect on a public lake beach I think. The detector sounds very accurate you are using. With every find, I’m hoping you pull up the huge find. I know you will!!
