METAL DETECTING OUT IN THE WOODS OF MISSISSIPPI (First Time)

This is my first time metal detecting with my dad. He’s been doing it for years. So I decided to try it out. It’s quite relaxing and enjoyable. We didn’t really find much besides old nails but we did find a part of a shingles that once belong to a house out in the area. More metal detecting videos to come in the future. Were slaves in that area?? As nails were burried underground by slaves. As it was voodoo. They did it for protection… it was a nail they burried. Or workers in those days may of dropped some nails out of their bag on their way to do fencing….

I’ve tried metal detecting in the mountains a couple years ago, we found some hinges and an old axe. It’s risky here, around here theres old ammo everywhere. We stopped after finding some bits of it, fortunately not big enough to have to call the squad..

Tree Roots were everywhere, seem like they extend way out from the tree trunk.
    Interesting finding nails out there

15:19 looks like a shotgun headstamp from an old paper shotgun shell

Hi BJ. Looks like you had fun on this jaunt into the Mississippi woods. Metal detecting has always looked like something fun to do. Exploring is fun. Odd items to come up with for sure. The fragment with leaves may be from a pot or flower vase. That suggests a home once existed nearby. My how quickly they come and go. You need to try again. I love a good mystery…they abound all around us. Right now the earth is pulsating in rhythm to the number of God’s forgotten holy name. The earth itself is calling out to Him. See attached link. It will be interesting to see what happens next. Awesome job with this presentation BJ! Stay safe!

Now that’s cool. I’m kind of late watching this one But Here I am, Lol! I Love metal detecting. It’s always interesting to search an old property. Old buildings or property in your city that you can research. You can find old maps of the city from back in the day like for example the 1800’s or even just the 1900’s and on and even if the buildings are not there anymore the dirt still is, Lol!. And especially along side of sidewalks where people used to walk down during the 1900’s, 20’s 30’s…etc…. and you might possibly find some valuable coins and other stuff people dropped throughout the years. But even just being able to chill with your Pops and spend time with him is Priceless bro. Thanks for another cool vid and I’ll see you in the next one,… Peace!

Metal detecting is hit and miss. I always wanted to try it on a beach. There is a lot of buried stuff out there! The woods look like a nice place to spend some time.
