    Very interesting! Thank you.
I learned recently that the note Captain Kid gave to his Wife before he died, was the coordinates for Deer Island, Maine.
In 1994 I paddled my Sea Kayak from Portland Maine DownEast to Machias. I camped on many Islands during my journey. Most of these "Maine Island Trail" camp approved, small island’s are mostly only approachable by Small Craft or to Swim, yes we have sharks.. While hiking around some island’s i would notice mounds and other disturbances in the Geology. When i found them, i packed up after a simple Buddhists Prayer and left the island quickly. Im protecting the Identity of those islands.
Is it possible that these smaller islands hold secrets?
Thanks for all if your Hard Work bringing attention to Maine’s Awesomeness.
    Truly Made in Maine!

As a modern day Bellamy myself, I would bet they stashed that loot and only brought a bit along with them as eye candy. Just enough to throw at Sarah’s family.

I’m sure most sides of river are private property, but ground penetrating radar would be great clues!
