I go metal detecting at my neighborhood park, there is a picnic table where the older kids hangout, I can normally expect to find some coins around the table, nothing to make me rich, but it’s always fun to find things. Hopefully you continue making metal detecting video.

Fair play to ya . Never know what you will find. Some stories of people in England finding boxes of old Roman coins on there land and hitting the jackpot. Everyone should always check there own land because over here anyway you have the rights to what’s on it. Take a wheelbarrow around with you for the crap at the end of it all you’ll know your lands clean even if not full of gold coins

Hey there! Nice video! I enjoy the hobby of metal detecting, and do quite a bit of detecting in central Texas when I have time. You asked for tips, so I have a few for you. First off, when you go detecting, a rule of thumb is that you’re going to dig up a lot of junk and pop tops and stuff, but you have to dig the junk to find the good stuff so dig all of it. Second, it’s a pin pointer, not a wand. Lol. Also you may want to wrap your cord around the shaft of your detector not too tight by where it goes into the coil, but no too tight. It will help when you are hunting in brushy areas so the cord doesn’t get caught up in the weeds or brush and give false signals. And the third tip is to not get discouraged, keep on hunting and you will find something really cool around where your hunting around those old barns. You have a great place to hunt and dig! Also you may want to read the manual on your detector and see how to ground balance your detector. That helps quite a bit if you’re hunting in different areas due to the different kinds of soil or ground your hunting over. I really liked the old Ford hubcap you found, that was cool! Great video and cool finds! Definitely get some more treasure hunting videos and let’s see what all you find!

I remember a friend who was a “treasure hunter” that around farm houses if you find where the out house used to be, you could find old whiskey bottles. He said if you found that spot by probing and finding softer soil, that was where the out house “hole” used to be and it was not uncommon for the men to keep their whiskey there and when done with the bottle they would throw them down the hole.
