Proof That The Vikings Sailed To Maine?

Proof That The Vikings Sailed To Maine?

Please join me Billy and Thor as we journey out to an island off of the coast of Maine to investigate a rock that has many Indian petroglyphs inscribed on it. In this video, we explain how this rock was discovered by one of Billy friends some decades ago and I show to the best of my ability the pietroglyphs on the rock. One in particular that is most interesting is a depiction of a square masted sailing ship with high upturned bow and stern, PLUS a rows of oars!

I have heard American Indians have had contact and mixed blood with Vikings in the eastern US, the Lichen growth can tell you the age of the carvings if you get someone out there! I’m really excited about this find keep on it man.

When they started doing DNA testing, they confirmed that the same people that are coming to the Americas today are the same people that have been coming here for thousands of years. Lots of evidence of Viking settlements on the east coast and inland just as there is lots of evidence of ships from Asia landing on the west coast. (Very old broken china fragments etc..) The lack of an earlobe is strictly an Egyptian trait. You’ll notice some of our Native Americans lack an earlobe and have Egyptian DNA, which would explain the pyramid structures we find here in both N. & S. America. Some of the markings on that rock are symbols of the the viking alphabet. If you could see them all, you may be able to read what they wrote. The ship carving along with the ship shield that was carved into the rock are also viking markings. Really interesting find. My grandfather use to talk about their viking history and the fact that they had been coming to the Americas long before history books say Europeans came here. Fun video, hope the mystery is solved, what a great find! Thanks again, the kids are loving this, see you next time.

I don’t know how hard that rock is, but the inscriptions are very narrow and in a hard rock like granite they would have been made by an iron or steel chisel which could mean Vikings carved it. If it is softer a sharp stone, bone, or antler could have been used which could mean local natives. I believe the weathering in the carvings can be measured to get an approximate date. The more recent inscriptions are obviously newer and should have never been added. Someone needs to investigate this rock.

That’s really cool. You should definitely go back to look for more evidence.

the superiority complex of post-industrial revolution white man knows no bounds thinking he/she is the smartest and most superior to whoever came before yet the ancestors of the Australian aborigines found their way from the Indian subcontinent to Australia 40.000 years ago a further stretch of ocean-faring than from Europe to the Americas a mere 1300 years ago for the Vikings unlike in the Indian ocean the Atlantic currents pretty much go from Europe to the American continent you could float your boat and it will get there if you’ll survive the just floating on the currents trip is another thing but your ship will get there if it isn’t sunk in a storm or get stuck in the mid-Atlantic meal stream (sargasso sea)
ancient pre-Columbian cultures had myths about bearded men coming from the sea to rule them these native American cultures lacked the gene to grow facial hair so, how could they have known about beards if someone with a beard didn’t come ashore one day.

native American my behind! you will find these carvings in stone all over Scandinavia the boats/ships the circles the spirals!
anyone from Danmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden know of sites like this and some are quite famous in this part of the world
in fact, my oldest ancestors name is carved on a standing rune stone from the 4th century AD high up in Sweden is your name swan or another language version of that word then Mr. Sven is your oldest ancestor Sven means the beautiful one it stuck as a last name as well as the name of a bird if you have that last name your lineage goes back 1600 years!

  14. skip man on October 18, 2022 at 7:21 am

Just went and looked at it myself. There are more carvings if you look very closely. I found a 4 inch spearhead at the bottom of the bank just below the stone. It looks very old. The tip is broken off and it is a grey white color. It looks like a very good place for a camp. Very protected from the wind but easy access to open ocean. Not sure how the bricks got there but they look pretty old. If you look at the area to the left of the rock coming up from the beach it looks like it might have been filled in at one time with smaller rocks. Thats where i found the spearhead. I didn’t do any digging. It was on top of the ground. It looked like someone uncovered more of the dirt off the top of the rock looking for more carvings. Not sure what they used but they put some scratches on the rock.

The Vikings traveled into lake Ontario throught the St Lawrence River. It’s common knowledge through native history.

My guess , if those are actually old, that they were carved by native Indians. We know the Vikings went to Nova Scotia. They probably sailed up and down the coast for years.

It definitely needs to be looked at. Apparently they can tell how long it’s been there by the lichen that grows on the rock.

  32. Auke Bij on October 18, 2022 at 7:41 am

it could be two things or vikings Ubba (Old Norse: Ubbi) (died 878) was a ninth-century Viking and one of the commanders of the Great Pagan Army that invaded Anglo-Saxon England in the 860s and was a cousin of the fryske keaning redbad. where texts have been found that possibly indicate that they made several trips to the US to exchange silver and gold with the inhabitants there. or they were Templar knights. are also many reports that they have gone that way

Don’t give anything to the government because they don’t want to change history! Other evidence of viking run skript have disappeared.. Think that might be a building or a grave so check that out and then let it be for a couple of generations..

  42. Richad McDonough on October 18, 2022 at 7:54 am

There are well documented "viking stones" in Southern Mass and Rhode Island. You should have dumped water on them to help bring out the carvings.

  43. JSK JSK on October 18, 2022 at 7:55 am

I think the Oak Island crew would like to see some of the Maine shore history and structures in your videos. Very interesting!

  44. aaron johnson on October 18, 2022 at 7:55 am

If I may suggest a course of action, take rubbings of the carvings with paper and charcoal, then if contacting an archaeologist etc you have something that will show details that might not be as visible by camera alone.

  45. tino van der zwan phono cave! on October 18, 2022 at 7:57 am

your right to keep the location a deep secret other sites showing the possible pre-Columbus landing of Europeans proof have either been vandalized or even removed by the government in one case a rock face with petroglyphs was simply blasted under the notion that it was a danger to traffic and the glyphs had no historical significance and were just graffiti!
    so keep it well-hidden boys!
