I was told a story about an army general that met an indian chief and saw the tribes treasure of gold and silver, the general went and got his army to return a few days later and massacre the tribe but the tribe hid the treasure because the chief knew what the general was up to. to this day it still is nowhere to be found, was supposedly up near menard, san Antonio, austin area. ive tried researching it but can’t find any info on it. anybody give some info on this?

some old boy will stumble across it one day and not really looking for it. and his whole life and childrens children life will change. the thing about treasure hunters is they know exactly where it is at………..or they think they know. it is always just beyond the bend in the river or just over the next hill in that arroyo………………. like a mad dog chasing his own tail. texas is huge and we only have one life span.

Nowhere on Texas is a likely spot for a mine if any type.
