R Indyβs me of trip years ago in Venezuela, , first took us to a plane that I thought Cheech and Chong built, bandaids keeping it together on outside, broken seats, seat belts missing etc. had opportunity to drive plane before surrounded in cliffs seeing so many waterfalls including Angel Falls, the tallest in the world. Next, plane lands, jumped on flat bed of straw which drove us to waters edge, the water was clear, but orange. Weβre told colour is from the iron in the rocks, you can drink straight out, I tried it, water delicious. Row boats. Waiting, I go to jump in, when tour guide yells βstopβ, almost stepped onto a scorpion with tail up. He picks it up and throws away. Short distance, we get out of boat to pathway you are now walking thru jungle for about ten minutes when it opens up to that sound of waterfalls. Where you come to a bit of a clearing. The tour guide then says so βwe are going to walk on this pathβ, goes under the water, only way out, hold onto rope. People become terrified, so I go first, not knowing this path is going to narrow so only one person wide and visibility in areas of rushing water is nil.. The tour guide yells out from behind, β Hold onto rope tight and crouch down as it can get windy here, winds so strong it can throw you off the cliff and kill you. Lost a little confidence at that moment, realizing we are walking thru the same waterfalls we saw from plane and thinking this is the coolest thing I have ever done. When we came out the other end the view was breathtaking and we climbed to bottom of waterfall to swim and take pictures. Not to far from there we get to path thru a bit of jungle to clearing and back in plane. So what I am saying, love watching you Jordan as you are willing to try out new things, having these great experiences you will one day look back and say β I was one crazy Ass, so worth the experience. I know having ended up at 51yrs a very rare, 24/7 painful and incurable disease PNE, that creates many other painful problems requiring multiple surgeries that I put my fear aside and went on some of the best adventures, zip lining, para sailing, rappelling, snorkelling, in Cuba, DR, Mexico, hiking in AZ, seeing the Grand Canyon, swimming in cenotes-favourite roller coasters, Superman, Cyclone at six flags,mostly in late forties to fifties as itβs never to late
Now I rely on you, Jake and Tristan to take me on my next adventure, Thank you being confined to my bed waiting for surgery that will lower pain until the medicine wears off every two months I will taking advantage exploring my new digs in the Maritimes, anxious for it to start.
