We were just out there a couple days ago, drove 3 hours out of our way because "americas first gold rush site" was kinda a must go, kinda frustrated, the welcome center was closed so I drove around for an hours before finally finding that EXACT SAME SPOT you were at with just 30 min before we drove back out before sunset. I dug those crevices and didn’t find a thing. I dug behind that big rock on the far side finding a bunch of black sand, NOTHING, dug along the bank on your side next to those crevices, NOTHING.

I’d occasionally see a sparkle, but nothing to write home about.
I heard from some guys online you have to hike another hour or so from that spot to find anything decent.
Got back to Ohio and found some old stone along a creek side, found more gold and a small red agate in 1 pan. Gonna head back down to that spot in the next couple days for sure.

I need to take another trip back out to Colorado, especially South Park, best panning of my life out there.

Just wanted to say thank you for the videos, I spent about 8 months watching you during my deployment in ’20-21. I’m taking leave next week to East TN at my parents place to pan their creek for a couple of days. Thank you for keeping me sane back then. God bless.

  21. Johnny Rondo on August 8, 2022 at 6:20 pm

Cool stuff guys! New sub. here. I’m from TN and love going to the mountains and east Tennessee creeks and streams for some good fishing and panning. We love going to creeks and just rock hunting. I’m not sure what type or rock that is. One thing for sure it’s an old rock ,he he. Talk to some of the old farmers and people that live around the area. Good luck!

  22. WHAMaTRON on August 8, 2022 at 6:21 pm

  23. ProspectorAl on August 8, 2022 at 6:21 pm

The blue shimmering rocks are shale. And you CAN find pickers and nuggets there with a pan and shovel.

  24. fishingwild42 on August 8, 2022 at 6:25 pm

  31. The Sluicers on August 8, 2022 at 6:32 pm

Nice work great to watch! Here in most places on the West Coast of New Zealand I would expect a lot more then that from just a 2L test pan, still great video and like you said not a what to get rich just a ton of fun! Keep it coming!

  36. Clayton Holliman on August 8, 2022 at 6:39 pm

Where and how did gold get here on earth ?

  37. Sane_recess on August 8, 2022 at 6:41 pm

Omg klesh your 30 minutes from me I live in mcminn county used to live in Monroe county

  38. Sysbee Farms on August 8, 2022 at 6:42 pm

Wildcat is a good creek hard to access I remember the weekend we hauled my 6” keene across tellico and hit the waterfalls about 8’ down good times, make a sucker tube hand dredge easy to clean out them cracks!

  39. Frank Paige on August 8, 2022 at 6:42 pm

I go to Coker Creek every week. If you’re interested in Gold Prospecting, Join Gold Prospectors Association of America. I started prospecting 14 years ago, can’t stop. Out here, a lot of that has been overworked. The gold comes from the hills and washes in the streams. It’s everywhere but extremely difficult to find a good spot. Most land is owned there aren’t good trails to get to places.

  40. Jc_SaltyYt on August 8, 2022 at 6:44 pm

Arnt u supposed to pan the way the flow of water is so no water washes away the gold. Cuz I’m pretty sure it’s a better way to pan

  41. Gold Hunter Exploration - Sheikh Kamarul Azmi on August 8, 2022 at 6:45 pm

    Nice

  42. dewdew34 on August 8, 2022 at 6:45 pm

Beautiful nature. Time to catch some catfish !

  43. Trimbaker on August 8, 2022 at 6:46 pm

Ha! Good job. Glad you stuck to it and found some access. I’m headed to Colorado, leaving tomorrow. I am over in southeastern NC. Headed to Boulder to visit a friend and do some sluice and pan prospecting. If I see you on a creek, I will say hi. I like your videos. George.

  44. samauri_nemisis on August 8, 2022 at 6:48 pm

Just wondering if there are scam there but they say they have 100% return on investment

  45. Tennessee Silver Stacker on August 8, 2022 at 6:48 pm

This is where I pan. I haven’t found much. Maybe 100 micro specks and one tiny flake out of 2 trips. Actually making a week long trip out there next week to try wildcat creek as well as Coker.

  46. Chai'el Ma'etheius on August 8, 2022 at 6:48 pm

You should come to the Georgia Gold Belt, Dahlonega surrounding areas is most famous but you can check throughout the belt and help those who are beginners in the area for good spots to find a place to enjoy the fun, health and nature

  47. Dawn Dixon on August 8, 2022 at 6:49 pm

    👍😁👏

  48. Gregory Howell on August 8, 2022 at 6:49 pm

Man, your right in my old stomping grounds

  49. Vols335 on August 8, 2022 at 6:51 pm

I’ve got 2 acres of land with a stream if you want to come dig

  50. Michael Vincent on August 8, 2022 at 6:51 pm

Here in Oklahoma it’s just plains. One thing I would suggest for your 50 states travel in Oklahoma is go to the salt plains. There are weird salt rocks all over.
