WHILE THE TEAM WAS WAITING FOR THE CORP. OF ENGINEERS TO GIVE THEM PERMISSION TO DO ANY UNDERWATER EXCAVATION THE CORP. HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO RECOVER ANY ITEMS ON THE BOTTOM. WHY? BECAUSE OF ALL THE PAST HISTORY THAT INVOLVED IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN MICHIGAN THAT WERE CORRUPT AND HAD PLENTY TO HIDE; THIEVES,BRIBERS AND POSSIBLE MURDERERS. ABE LINCOLN WAS NOT A FRIEND OF TEMPLARS AND THEIR POWER AND PAID FOR IT WITH HIS LIFE. I THINK A NUMBER OF PEOPLE HAVE REASONS TO MAKE SURE TO LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE.

  7. j.wyatt payne on September 17, 2022 at 8:52 pm

So what will happen if findings are true what would become of city that he built from stolen gold and did Lincoln no?

Kevin Dykstra was interviewed in 2015. He said then that this was the deathbed confession of a banker with the last name of Abbot. On this TV series it is changed to a deathbed confession of a lighthouse keeper who saw the boxcar pushed overboard. The show makes it sound like the boxcar was pushed overboard for revenge, when it appears boxcars were commonly pushed overboard to lighten the load during bad weather, to keep barges from foundering. I am starting to be suspicious of the narrative. Truth is better than fiction! Changing a story for dramatic affect is very disappointing and is causing this show and the History Channel to lose its credibility!

what is funny..is this tv series just up and quit…why?

  11. Valentino Urbina on September 17, 2022 at 8:59 pm

I just heard this story from a friend I work with and looked it up and he had no idea of this or any videos about it, I guess story goes some was found on the lakeside and now those people have multiple businesses in the area. I was told, the Michigan militia stold Confederate gold and there’s tracks they used for the boxcars near railroads in the area that go with the story and they got busted in the lake and tried to ditch the gold? And over the years some has said to be found.. just letting ya know what I’ve heard from older guys at work, us being from Michigan

  27. Minerva - on September 17, 2022 at 9:16 pm

Suppose they find gold. Then they can only look at it. My god, who comes up with those laws.

  28. Roger Armstrong on September 17, 2022 at 9:16 pm

  32. stonecold Austin on September 17, 2022 at 9:20 pm

So I wonder whatever happened after that show cuz I’ve never seen it again until just now. Did Michigan give them the okay to dig the site to find anything might be gold. Inquiring minds want to know

  33. gothiccrusader on September 17, 2022 at 9:21 pm

Why is it illegal to dig at lake bottom?

  34. Minerva - on September 17, 2022 at 9:21 pm

    The phrase ‘
There may be a tunnel’ had been used endlessly in season 2.
You really lost me there. LOL

  35. a Campbell on September 17, 2022 at 9:24 pm

    Funniest show of the year

  36. Richard Foglia on September 17, 2022 at 9:24 pm

Don’t understand why they would dump it so far out with no chance of recovery. Back then no diving equipment. A wreck would make more sense to me.

  37. Clyde Stamp on September 17, 2022 at 9:24 pm

I’m going back to watch REAL treasure hunters. This is fantasy….

  38. Jim on September 17, 2022 at 9:26 pm

#1. Those dimensions they measured are too big to be a box car.
#2. Even if the gold was there it is U.S. government property.
#3. Even if there was chests of CSA coins, still U.S. government property as all CSA assets where forfeited when General Lee surrendered.

  39. Mstrbomber on September 17, 2022 at 9:26 pm

What will happen to the gold when and if it is found?
Do they keep it, do they turn it in, will the government claim ownership of it?

  40. Minerva - on September 17, 2022 at 9:27 pm

Everyone asks, when is season 3 coming? The answer is quite simple. They are not given a permit to dig on the seabed.

Do you really think the state of Michigan will let a group of treasure hunters do their thing? If there is really something,
qualified archaeologists are deployed. Make no mistake.

  41. Juliann Armitage on September 17, 2022 at 9:27 pm

I have watched Oak Island since it began.

  42. Linda Deakins on September 17, 2022 at 9:29 pm

    bring back this show

  43. Big Ragu on September 17, 2022 at 9:31 pm

I must say I agree with most of the comments here. that’s the biggest pile of BS I have ever heard, watched or seen in my life. And this is exactly what will happen! they’ll go back and it’ll all be gone and and they will blame it on the weather! They are already setting it up so that the gold won’t be there it’s all fake! it’s all funny because I’m sure that somebody else has looked for this gold before so I don’t know where they dug this clown Dykstra up from but They need to put him back. Like someone else just said about all these fake shows are staged I’m just barely hanging on to Oak Island because I don’t know if they can make it look any more fake than it already looks

  44. Harry van Gaans on September 17, 2022 at 9:32 pm

Complete fake, if you find Gold “ take it” it’s stolen gold , unbelievebel the say we have no permit wat a bull shite no one now’ s terrible you don’t urn too find Gold.

  45. Kyle Tracey on September 17, 2022 at 9:33 pm

New bs you mean. Another total FAIL nonsense show

  46. Nes Aujour on September 17, 2022 at 9:33 pm

You need a permit for digging gold that belong to a none existence government? I could understand you need a geologic map just incase you not going to burst some pipe line but to dig???

  47. Charles Williams on September 17, 2022 at 9:37 pm
