Styxx, I grew up in Vermont. The Pig Man is from Northfield, not Stowe. As for Emily’s Bridge, I’ve seen her (or some other phenomenon) in the 60’s and again in the mid-late 70’s. But that was back when the town was still small and lonely (my HS class was the largest in the school with 52). The ground fog rising up 4-5 feet in wispy patches of varying density in Stowe Hollow near Gold Brook was pretty eerie.

The Pig Man. Was he seen in an IHOP or Walmart?

Vermont is a whole ‘nother nation onto itself. I thought us Georgians were weird. Still love it up there! Wouldn’t mind living in Styx’s birthland.

It’s strange that we only have this kind of connection to the earth and not the world.
Vermont sounds very beautiful. You’re lucky to have grown-up there.

NEED MOAR GHOST VIDEOS seriously I liked this.

  12. X SLT on October 17, 2022 at 9:28 am

Can’t see the point in such vids. Like Styx is out anything of value and now feeds us with this crap. Or maybe he holds smth to himself knowing it better not to be touched upon. But why doing an ‘Occult’ vid then?
(I didn’t really see much of his. Maybe he was always like that. At least, he’s shallow when it comes to politics.)
If he’s someone who know much more than he gives away cause he knows the rules or because he recived the warning? Or he didn’t meann to be more than an entartainer? Or maybe he’s controlled from the start.
Can’t trust the guy. He’s really smart. And all this shit it too cheap for his level.

Sailing under influence absolutely SHOULD be (and in most countries is) illegal. Land lubbers always underestimate how crowdy a ship lane can get and what damage you can cause to innocent people if you’re a drunken idiot who can barely handle his boat.

I’ve also heard of paranormal activity near streams and rivers. I had a friend whose family home always felt so creepy, they reported seeing things but I never did when I visited. It just felt like you were always being watched, thanks in large part to the massive full sized windows in the living room. They had a stream running through the property too, a few feet away from the farthest corner of the house.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am, in fact, the HUMAN BEING that everyone has been miscalling the "Pig Man". My nose is only SLIGHTLY upturned and my mother says I don’t really look like a hog at all very much a little bit. And she also says that 265 lbs at 5’2" is a healthy weight height ratio. I just wanted to let you all know that calling me "The Pig Man" has been very hurtful; I’m actually a nice and friendly person who rarely flies into a rage and kills animals with my bare hands and inhuman strength. So if you’re in Vermont, have a care and try talking to me instead of yelling "Pig man! RUN!!!" or "OINK OINK LOL" because that stuff triggers my pursuit genes. Hope I see you there. Snort!

  23. Profit Geoff on October 17, 2022 at 9:32 am

Ahh – very nice! Can you cover a few more urban legends, etc? Slides or some media would be nice, although I appreciate this isn’t your normal ouvre.

Based. I’d love to see a state-by-state mythical creature series.

Missouri had Mo-Mo the Monster. From what I understand he was a Bigfoot-type creature who resided in the ozark hills/mountains of Missouri

Way to sabotage your bread-and-butter with all these occult videos on YouTube

Might want to rethink this strategy a bit

I mountain bike in Western Mass/south VT somewhat often, definitely a lot of spooky secrets in the forests and hills.

  44. 50 Megaton Diplomat on October 17, 2022 at 10:03 am

There’s a really scary and compelling (and somewhat recent) tale about a family in Vermont that lived out in the sticks and were terrorized by bipedal wolf creatures that were quite tall. Thing is, the cops came out the next day and they left SIGNIFICANT physical evidence. IDK what goes on out in Vermont, but there is definitely high strangeness there!

  45. Naruto Uzumaki on October 17, 2022 at 10:07 am

I heard of these when i lived in Vermont.

  46. Matthew Krulitski on October 17, 2022 at 10:09 am

And the reason for all the ruins in the woods is not only isolated farmsteads in the forest swallowed back up by nature, but that before the 1840s-ish, the region was basically denuded and farmed extensively just like in the English Home Counties. And then everyone buggers off for the Midwest: fresh land, flatter, more convenient with rail lines and stuff and… well, the old fields become forest and the buildings get swallowed up like Angkor Wat.

It reminds me of Winnipeg’s Assiniboine Park Zoo before it’s renovation: overgrown, semi-dilapidated and with feral peacocks everywhere… but come October, the Boo at the Zoo event sure made use of that overgrowth and dilapidation to terrific effect.
