Nice work, I have been stuck on that park for years until I came across Charlestowne Landing, the verse fits well when starting at the Adventure, a pirate ship expo that resides in the park, and when searching I see a statue of the Cassique Indians. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Charles+Towne+Landing+State+Historic+Site/@32.8051811,-79.9879577,1490m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x88fe7b9d040683cf:0xa8ecc15447c2d3db!8m2!3d32.8104265!4d-79.9950402
There is a rather large wooden statue of just a head, A pirate ship. hanging memorials of the slave burial grounds, Founders Hall, Olde Towne River, Edward County, Cannons, and a couple of other things you may find interesting, https://southcarolinaparks.com/charles-towne-landing/history-and-interpretation#jump

I dont think the new york treasure will be found. I think its talking about the World Trade Center, which isnt here anymore, so it probably will never be found.

Sometimes I wonder about that little girl statue that’s at the sidewalk entrance between the south western two sections. She has outstretched arms, and there is a prominent white building close by to the west.

I’d love to see you do one with Verse 5. To me it could fit as well. Especially since it mentions the Citadel which is a big White House. There’s a park nearby called Hampton park that has an interesting history. I’m not sure the park fits but I’m drawn to it. 😊

the eyes of the clock are the butt ends of the big cannons in the yard, the long thing is the flagpole in the middle and looking at the side of the teeth side , or stairs and duggouts underground, the * would be the space to look, by the little cannon and the red square in front of it. Think overhead view perhaps.

Is the flag in the home plate clock really red, white and blue? It’s not red, yellow and green?

  18. Kipper Lane on August 8, 2022 at 6:19 pm

I live in Charleston and have a good idea of it’s location, just need to get permission to dig

  19. Tom Sunderland on August 8, 2022 at 6:20 pm

The bottom of the fairies wing looks like the arm rest on the park bench.
The line ‘on the 8th a scene’ I believe refers to how the park is split in to 8 segments. Below the bar that binds tells you which segment it is in, the segment below the capstan (the segment with the statue of the confederate defenders of Charleston)
Long palm shadow will be the outstretched arm in said statue.
Between extended arm will be the cannon below the capstan and the outstretched arm in the statue.
The lions nose looks like the old capstan, you can see the white House, you can see the bench arm rest in the fairies wing.
If I had to dig it would be in the area north of the defenders statue near the bench.
    That is my interpretation.

  20. David Duggan on August 8, 2022 at 6:21 pm

The Fair could be an expo. 2 arms extended could be reaches. The white house could be a plantation. The bar that binds could be wrought iron.

Have you sent this video/information to the authors family? The book states that if someone identifies the correct location, but cannot visit the location or perform the dig, they will still award you the prize. It would also help those of us still looking to know if this is really the spot, or to keep looking elsewhere.

So are you saying in 2021 that this has not been found I stay in Spartanburg but can definitely travel so can I get the full run down on this

  23. Angry Irishman on August 8, 2022 at 6:25 pm

If you look at a map, the points mentioned around the park are in a round form, and in between the 2 arms, is the center point. If you overlay the golden clock and use the poem for the markers. The golden clock lines up in the same formation. Why has no one seen this before.? And what you are looking for is going to predate 1913. Late 1800s early 1900s Charleston had a large amount of metal smith’s working at the time, what you are looking for can very well be a metal formed peice with bronze or golden teeth to mimic the clocks craftsmanship.

Match the palms shadow with the time of day shown on the clock in the picture- 4 o’clock

  26. pringlesgirl102572 on August 8, 2022 at 6:39 pm

could the long palms shadow be referencing a hand the palm of a hand?
