It really is impressive how many things that today would be considered "obscure" or too strange to have any sort of significance for the people of old, like the grimoares or summoning rituals actually had massive influence on entire countries. It also shows us that sometimes, we have to go into these rabbit holes to understand why certain people behaved in a certain way that would otherwise be unexplainable

It’s an absolute shame that Christianity has demonized, pun totally intended, the spirits so bad that they’ve all butt driven them away.
