What’s your take on the Clark’s Fork Canyon, just west of Clark Wyoming, being cut by glaciers or being cut by water? If you have heard of it, that is. We’ve been finding decent amounts of fine gold in the river but are rookie prospectors and the nuggets have avoided us….so far. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Your videos are GREAT and very informative. Thanks for what you do!

Hey Jess. FIrst time I watched. I’m a Canuck from just north of the border. We have the same geology and the gold follows the same path to Alaska. Great information. I grew up with my father prospecting placer and chasing dreams. Now I’m retired and really want to return to the BC interior and chase it some more. Cheers. I subscribed. Hope there is more to come. Thanks. I’m aiming at the Princeton area and Tulameen.

That little. Itty cluster of mini mountains that the arrow is pointing to…. is where I am from. Then the other little cluster just below and to the right is where I am also from. The bottom one has a gold and silver mine where my papa Duke worked in is prime. But working there got him so so so so sick. . RIP papa Duke.
I’m I Colorado now. And if always been curious to what secrets my hills held.

You were looking at the Jefferson river not Stillwater. I live here. Best gold I’ve found is around Virgina City > west meadow > Pony etc… also up by pipestone. Have to take side-by-sides to get to locations.

Montana is awesome, I lived there for 9 years. Found many nuggets from a few grains all the way up to 1 1/2 ounces. Yes nuggets are there but a lot of theses areas are under claim already. know before you go what is open for prospecting and good luck..
