Prospector Jess, I live I Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. There are quartz crystals everywhere here, but I found something in my back yard and was wondering if I can send you a short video of it.

We bought land and recently moved to Enola, Arkansas, we have red clay dirt and I am wondering if there is anything specific we may have on our property? Or any areas allowed near us to explore?

They’ve recently dozed the top layer of soil off in the load bearing field. Now finding more diamonds than before, and also larger diamonds are being found.

Ive found gold flake metal detecting around Mena, Arkansas, under a large rock. Ive heard that many people back in the day would find gold veins in quarts also.

I’ve been told by a few friends that we also have diamonds here in Virginia, and I’ve also heard stories of a diamond mine in Doswell Virginia

You can make your own diamond-hunting tools, too.

Those aren’t kimberlite Jess FYI those are lamproite pipes. The main one located at Crater of Diamonds is known as the Prarie Creek lamproite. There are other pipes associated with the Prarie Creek lamproite that are known but most of the diamonds are highly resorbed and altered. This area was researched in great detail by Charles Fipke and other geologists / companies. The waterways around crater of diamonds should be investigated in much greater detail due to the large amount of erosion that has taken place in the geological past. I recommend a sluice box with a long grease plate on the end. Diamonds being hydrophobic will stick to the grease while the other material will pass over. You could set up on Prarie Creek itself if you can find access around the park. There’s a place called Diamond John’s Riverside Retreat that appears to be downstream from the Crater of Diamonds and if you rent a room you may be able to get access to the creek and gravel bars right there. With a dredge you could likely find a kings ransom in diamonds. I’ve been a diamond hunter going on 5 years now with several thousand hours in research. Thanks for sharing this with the world Jess.
